Well being week was the 6th to the 10th of November. It was an emphasise on mental health. On Monday morning everyone was given ribbons. Each year group got different coloured ribbons representing different things. 4th year got purple, representing creativity.
Simon Harris came to talk to us on Monday about mental health and the importance of a good diet and physical activity. It was interesting listening to the minister of health in person.
Alison Canavan also talked to us on Monday. I personally think that she gave the best speech because she was open with her life and she was very engaging. She is a meditation instructor and an activist for well being. She used to be a model and lived a life of depression and addiction. She turned that all around and spreads her story. She taught us a few breathing techniques as well.
The next talk we had was a nutrition talk. This was all about what is good for your mental health. Miso is apparently really good for this. It's important to digest your food properly and to excersise.
