Hurricane Irma was an incredibly strong and castrophic Cape Verde type hurricane. On the 6th of September Irma reached its full intensity at 185 mph winds. It's category fluctuated between category 3,4 and 5. Finally after a week it fell to category 2. The first time it weakened below major hurricane status and eventually dissipated off the coast of New England.
